Removal and Disposal of a Quantity of Tyres (Regulated Waste) stored on Springvale Station

The department requires that a quantity of tyres stored on Springvale Station (near Lakeland in North Queensland) be lawfully removed from site and disposed of as a matter of priority prior to 9 June 2017.

Under the Environmental Protection Regulation 2008 waste handlers (the supplier) must submit waste tracking information when transporting regulated waste or waste residues.
The supplier must hold an environmental authority (EA) under the Environmental Protection Act 1994 in order to conduct the environmentally relevant activity (ERA) 57 for waste transport and submit prescribed forms (Waste Tracking Certificates) for each load.
The facility receiving the waste must also hold an environmental authority (EA) and the relevant ERA(s) for either storage, recycling, treating or disposing of the waste.
