PROVISION OF SLUDGE REMOVAL FROM LAGOONS AT REGIONAL WATER RECLAMATION PLANTS
The Central SEQ Distributor-Retailer Authority trading as Queensland Urban Utilities (QUU), a Local Government Owned Corporation is calling for Offers for the Provision of Sludge Removal from Lagoons at Regional Water Reclamation Plants.
The Water Reclamation plants (WRP) at Aratula, Boonah, Kalbar, Forest Hill, Helidon, Laidley and Toogoolawah have been operating for more than 10 years. A considerable amount of sludge has accumulated over this period in the ponds/lagoons at these sites and need to be removed and transported to a safe disposal site. The services/ works to be executed in the Contract are detailed and described below: • Sludge survey at seven Water Reclamation Plants • Sludge analysis from ponds at these sites • Sludge removal (desludging and dewatering) from ponds/lagoons • Sludge transportation and disposal for either beneficial reuse of biosolids or secure land fill depending on the quality of sludge from all seven WRP’s
