In order to meet the University’s objectives, smart procurement practices need to be implemented to ensure the Queensland Procurement Policy principles are met. To achieve this UQ has been providing procurement training opportunities on-site for all staff members for the last 3 years with great success. Procurement is still a relatively foreign concept at UQ, therefore it is critical to be able to offer all three levels of training.
The objectives of the procurement training are to:
• Enhance UQ staff’s capabilities and knowledge in procurement
• Provide a progressive pathway of procurement training
• Expose staff to multiple facets of end-to-end procurement
