The Queensland Government’s Safer Schoolies Initiative (Initiative), led by the Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services, is a whole-of-government response which delivers support services to key tourism destinations that attract Year 12 school leavers holidaying together.
The purpose of the Initiative is to enhance the safety and responsible behaviour of school leavers, whilst minimising disruption to the local communities where they gather through a range of strategies which reinforce public safety and personal responsibility.
The department requires the services of a suitably experienced company to undertake the role of Volunteer Coordinator for the annual Gold Coast Schoolies Community Safety Response (Schoolies Response).
