For a Report on the Evaluation of Capital Advisory Committees
The Department of Energy and Water Supply requires the investigation and report of suitable models or approaches for regional councils by June 2017.
These models or approaches could assist regional service providers by:
• improving ways to generate a culture of better decision making
• assisting regional service providers to bid more effectively for funds internally or for public funding for new investment where required
• helping to create a broader culture of region-wide capital planning where multiple providers operate at a scale that delivers services and price benefits to customers while building and maintaining infrastructure across boundaries
• helping to identify priority investment areas for managing costs of investment and targeting government and grants and subsidies, and provide value for money outcomes for the Government, service provider and community.
