Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital part of the Metro North Hospital and Health Service District requires an additional clean room and hot cells suitable for producing a full range of PET (eg 18-F, 11-C, 13-N and 68-Ga) and therapeutic (eg 177-Lu, 131-I) radiopharmaceuticals under GMP conditions.
The requirements of this tender include hot cells for radio pharmaceutical manufacture; Grade A hot cells for dispensing with a Grade C background; associated dispensing equipment; dose calibrators; and environmental monitoring equipment.
The existing radiopharmaceutical production laboratory supports a clinically and research focused PET and nuclear medicine service. The immediate priority for this project is to provide additional clean room production capacity and redundancy for GMP FDG production under TGA licence; additional capacity for GMP production of other non-licenced radio pharmaceuticals. Accordingly equipment providing a high quality and a highly reliable manufacturing and dispensing environment with optimal radiation safety and product safety is of high importance
