Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Family Wellbeing - Stage Two

The department’s investment in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Family Wellbeing support aims to offer vulnerable Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families a coordinated mix of services to address multiple levels of need and build family and community capacity to safely care for and protect their children.

Services are designed and delivered by valuing and engaging with local Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership and knowledge and the application of healing frameworks to provide practical support solutions for people and communities.

Children and families and their participation in the decisions that shape their future are at the centre of all service responses.

Through this Request for Quote (RFQ) the department is seeking contemporary and innovative service delivery to reduce the over-representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children in the child protection system in local areas.

Suppliers may develop Quotes to deliver services at one or more of the catchment areas described below, however it is a mandatory requirement that only Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community controlled organisations are eligible to make an offer as the lead organisation for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Family Wellbeing program.

If a Quote involving subcontracting is identified as the preferred Quote for a catchment, the department will contract with the lead supplier for those services in that catchment, and the lead Supplier will be responsible for the activities of the subcontractors.

Further detail is included in the attached request for offer document.
