The University of the Sunshine Coast is seeking Proposals for the overall MBRUP is a redevelopment project led by the Moreton Bay Regional Council to facilitate a new educational, health, retail, commercial and residential development, as well as a significant community infrastructure. This engagement is to act on behalf of USC as the Anchor Education Partner in developing the University’s campus master plan and Foundation Facilities in conjunction with other developments to meet overall development intents for Precinct 1 including:
• deliver a highly active pedestrian spine connecting Petrie Station with a new Village Green in the heart of the Precinct
• deliver a new north-south Main Street, activated with both retail and commercial activities of both a temporary and permanent nature
• deliver best practice transit-oriented development including a strong integration and connection between the University, surrounding mixed-use development and Petrie Station including the delivery of an appropriate arrival statement
• a vibrant, pedestrian-friendly mix of uses to support USC with a focus on education, retail, residential and commercial uses
• measures to encourage use of public and active transport and reduce reliance on private vehicle movements
• medium density development in close proximity to Petrie Station.
