Supply of Consultancy Advice and Services
A consultant is required to undertake a review to provide independent advice to the Department of Energy and Water Supply on:
• technical and commercial analysis of the need for interim variable renewable electricity (VRE) generation reliability standards (including quantification of network security and reliability risk) prior to proposed NER changes
• technical and commercial analysis of the need for Queensland specific VRE generation reliability standards following proposed NER changes
• options for and analysis of draft VRE generation reliability standards
• quantification of financial implications of draft VRE generation reliability standard options on the NSPs and the VREs
• confirmation Queensland specific (interim) VRE generation reliability standards are consistent with changes proposed at the national level
• impact of VRE generation reliability standards on operations of existing generators already operating or under construction in Queensland
