Development of Demand Management and Energy Efficient Strategy
The Department of Energy and Water Supply is seeking professional consultancy services to provide advice to the Queensland Energy Security Tasforce (QEST) on the development of a Demand Management and Energy Efficiency Strategy (DME2) which is committed to both in the Powering Queensland Plan (PQP) and in the Queensland Climate Transition Strategy. QEST under PQP is responsible for delivering the DME2 Strategy to Government by 30 June 2018.
The Terms of Reference requires the consultant to provide a Stakeholder Engagement Plan, a Discussion Paper for public consultation, a draft DME2 Strategy (for QEST input) and a Final DME2 Strategy (to be approved by QEST). The key purpose of this consultancy is to investigate and provide advice to QEST on opportunities and pathways to increase demand management and energy efficiency in Queensland.
