The Principal has issued this Invitation to Offer with the objectives of refurbishing the dressing rooms #6 to #12 and #14 in the Lyric Theatre at Queensland Performing Arts Centre stage two works.

Arts Queensland has obtained a list of Eligible Contractors which are registered as Pre-Qualified Contractors for the project with a PQC Rating of 3 or 4 on the Department of Housing and Public Works PQC database. The Eligible list was based on a number of factors including estimated value, location of the contractor and other variables.

It shall be mandatory that tenderers are listed on the Eligible List. To determine if your organisation is on the Eligible List email your company’s name and ABN to the Principal Contact Officer using the email  address listed in item 15 ‘Principal’s Contact Officer'.

If a Prospective Tenderer is not on the Eligible List, the Tenderer may contact the PQC Registrar to determine why and what the Tenderer may do to modify its PQC Registration to appear on the Eligible List.

Tenders for which the Tenderer is not on the Eligible List on the day following close of offers will be classified as non-compliant and will not be evaluated. 

The Principal will assess tenders to ensure they conform to the following mandatory requirements:

  • Representation by the Tenderer at the Mandatory Industry Briefing (MIB)
  • The tenderer’s key personnel must hold suitable licenses for the scope of work
  • Must be suitably registered on the PQC System as a ‘Contractor’ with a minimum PQC rating of 3.
  • Must appear on the ‘Eligible List’ which was developed by Arts Queensland.

Due to the availability of the Dressing Rooms, works cannot take place until the scheduled construction timeframe of 5 February 2018 to 27 April 2018.

Each dressing room is comprised of a dressing change area and an adjacent bathroom.  With regard to the proposed refurbishment work there will be no structural or layout changes to any of the rooms, with all existing walls and doorways remaining in their existing locations.

The renovation is mainly focused on the dressing change areas which include the replacement of all joinery units in their existing location, provision of new carpet floor finishes, and making good and repainting of all walls and ceilings.

Their respective bathrooms are retaining the full extent of the existing floor and wall tile finishes and be provided with new fixtures including toilet suite, basins, shower screens, tapware and fittings.
