The Department of Communities, Child Safety and Disability Services is purchasing external consultancy and research services to provide up to three delivery methodologies and cost benefit analysis options for each, that will support the concept of establishing a Centre for Excellence in Queensland that focuses on:

• an repository system that acknowledges, validates and recommends current and evidence-matching best practice and models of services delivery within the Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander child and families sector
• consideration of the benefits of a behavioural insights framework to deliver improved social and economic policy and practice across Queensland
• leading and facilitating policy and practice improvement across the child protection and family support sectors through research, innovation, evidence-informed and integrated service delivery
• identifying and forecasting future trends for Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families to better understand and monitor social and cultural norms that are known to improve the positive outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children and families experiencing vulnerability, and
• best methods of communication and dissemination of demonstrated features of excellence in practice, program design and service delivery in Queensland.
