Purchase of TissueLysser II
The TissueLyser II is an equipment that will be used for the processing of tissue samples including prawn samples during an outbreak and/or surveillance of White Spot Disease (WSD). This equipment will increase the high throughput capacity of BSL especially during an emergency response. The acquisition of this particular equipment is supported by the fact that during the WSD response a TissueLyser was used for the efficient processing of prawn samples. Therefore BSL has enough data to show the fitness–for-purpose of this equipment.
