| Thank you for your continued interest in TMR’s Demand Responsive Transport (DRT) project.
As you would be aware from previous correspondence, the Queensland Government is seeking Offers to undertake trials of DRT in Logan.
The trials will test the extent to which recent advances in technology can facilitate more flexible services that operate with varying vehicle sizes, flexible schedules and routing to more efficiently and effectively meet customer needs.
The purpose of this ITO is to engage one or more Offerors through an Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) Contract to undertake the collaborative design of DRT trials. Following the refinement of the service design, TMR may enter into a 12 month DRT Trial Service Contract with one or more of the Offerors from the ECI phase.
The ITO consists of the following eight sections:
(a) Section A - ITO Overview;
(b) Section B – Terms and Conditions of Offer;
(c) Section C – Specification;
(d) Section D – ECI Contract;
(e) Section E – Payment Model;
(f) Section F – Response Forms;
(g) Section G – Scenarios; and
(h) Section H – Draft DRT Trials Services Contract.
Sections D and H will be issued through QTenders as Addenda to the ITO on 26 May 2017.
Since Supplier Information was issued to Offerors in early May, TMR has adjusted the planning thresholds used to determine trial candidate sites and altered the locations of the trial candidate sites which make up the four parts of the ITO.
Details of these changes are as follows:
- The threshold of distance from existing PT stops (with better than an hourly service during the off-peak) has been adjusted from 1,200m to 600m.
- The proposed candidate trial site of Holmview / Waterford previously contained in Part A has been removed and other transport options are being investigated in this area.
- The candidate sites of Boronia Heights / Hillcrest have been included as candidate trial sites and the candidate trial site of Eagleby has been re-assigned to Part B.
