Mackay Regional Council (MRC) is proposing to upgrade the guardrail on McEwens Beach Road, at the culvert crossing approximately 4.6km from the Bruce Highway.
The project includes installation of 119m of guardrail overall, of which there is approximately 59.5m on each side of the road. There are two segments of 11m over each side of the culvert. The culvert is over a body of water which varies in depth. Please note that this is a tidal flow area. The height from the top of the culvert to the concrete floor is approximately 1.7m.
