| The National Red Imported Fire Ant Eradication Program (NRIFAEP) is required to supply evidence of treatment activities completed. Therefore, in conjunction with McDermott Aviation Pty Ltd, through DAF17046 for the provision of aerial services for tramp ant treatment and surveillance, have a requirement for the following:
• real time, live tracking of helicopters;
• data to assist in the verification of flight paths in the event of clients disputes;
• upgrade of the old TracPlus, to allow more precise tracking of helicopter paths via a higher ping rate;
• access TracMap online to create maps and print reports;
• elimination of data sticks which had issues with data collection and retention; and
• reduced time loss due to incorrect data on previously used USB sticks.
McDermott Aviation Pty Ltd advised that they are happy to have all aircraft used for fire ant treatment, fitted out with the TracMap system. Due to the increased cost to provide this service for NRIFAEP, the program would need to pay an annual subscription cost.
McDermott Aviation Pty Ltd pay annual subscription fees for the TracMap Online system. Based on the Program’s requirements outline above, McDermott Aviation estimated NRIFAEP’s usage of the TMOL system is approximately 69% of all McDermott Aviation agricultural work.
