Engagement of Negotiator for ILUA
The State is looking at ways to facilitate gas exploration and production activities in Queensland’s north-west mineral province, while ensuring native title parties benefit from any potential development activities on their country. The Department of Natural Resources, Mines and Energy (DNRME) is undertaking a pilot project where the State of Queensland will seek to negotiate an Indigenous Land Use Agreement (ILUA) with a specific native title party to facilitate gas development in the region.
