The Queensland Government through the Queensland Museum (QM) is seeking proposals for a Building Contractor to undertake the Sciencecentre Redevelopment fitout works at the Queensland Museum, Southbank.
QM has issued this Invitation to Offer (ITO) with the objective of engaging a suitably qualified Contractor with a minimum PQC (Pre-qualified Contractor) Level 3 to undertake the fitout works with site possession mid-March 2018 with practical completion mid-July 2018 to ensure the space continues to meet the needs of the museum’s visitors.
The scope of the fitout Works generally comprise of (but not limited to):
- Electrical and communication services;
- Mechanical services;
- Acoustic treatment;
- Fire and emergency lighting;
- Hydraulics;
- Furniture and fixings; and
- Installation of interactive exhibits as per the architectural drawings.
As detailed in the ITO – Specification & General Information document, a Mandatory Industry Briefing and Site Inspection will take place on Thursday, 8 February 2018 at 9.00am (sharp) in the QM Theatre located within the Queensland Museum, Corner Grey and Melbourne Streets, South Brisbane QLD 4101.
Tenderers are requested to please read the specific details and register their attendees to the briefing in accordance with the information, and by the date and times, stated in sections 5, 6 and 7 of the ITO.
Note: Only those Contractors who meet the PQC eligible tender list requirements, and who attend the MIB are eligible to submit a tender.
