For the Provision of a Rigid Inflatable Boat
The University of Queensland is seeking to replace a 5.3m rigid inflatable boat in Class 2C survey. The vessel is based at the St Lucia Campus and is primarily used by researchers holding a RMDL under AMSA exemption 15 for equipment deployment and retrieval, sample collection, and diving operations around South East Queensland including open waters up to 15nm from land. Changes in AMSA exemptions permit the university to replace this rigid inflatable boat with a vessel 6-7.4m in measured length. The beam shall not exceed 2.5m when on the trailer.
