Professional Leadership Development for Land and Spatial Information staff
The overarching leadership development goals for LSI within this project are to:
- Heighten emotional awareness (self/others);
- Grow depth of understanding of how behaviours and communication impact others and outcomes;
- Understand and support an operational context of ‘high self-responsibility’ mindset.
- Be comfortable operating and navigating ambiguous environments (where tasks are not clearly defined);
- Build greater coaching/communications skills enabling leaders to build capability and empowerment, create alignment, create trust, and drive accountability;
- Have the difficult conversations that need to be had, while maintaining strong relationships;
- Build high performing teams throughout Land and Spatial Information and with the wider system;
- Operate collectively and cohesively as a leadership team (‘connected and aligned’),
- Drive further cultural change, to build a service to customer-orientated organization, with high initiative and levels of proactivity, able to effectively drive stakeholder management.
The mindset shift, underpinning this program, supports leaders to more consistently operate from a position of elevated self-awareness, managing and contributing to the leadership of the organisation enabling LSI to be the best it can be with a strong customer focus, a culture of self-improvement, and personal responsibility with a broad strategic and engagement perspective on the wider organisation (stakeholders and community).
To be delivered within the 2018-2019 and 2019-2020 financial years.
