Queensland Rail is seeking tenders from Australian and International companies suitably experienced and qualified for the supply and delivery of AS50 and AS60kg rail.
The scope of this requirement is to seek tenders from steel rail manufactures/suppliers who can supply AS50kg and AS60kg rail conforming to Queensland Rail’s Specification CT.142.
There are three main objectives Queensland Rail would like to achieve:
• Type Approve suppliers to supply of AS50kg and AS60kg rail.
• Create a sustainable, long-term supply of quality assured rail compliant to Queensland Rail’s safety and performance requirements.
• Ensure the best commercial outcome for Queensland Rail by focusing on the total lifecycle cost of steel rail, including transport, storage, welding and quality.
