The activities of the University of Queensland (UQ) require staff and students to travel to a wide range of domestic and international locations. In order to exercise an appropriate level of due diligence and meet its duty of care to UQ travellers, the University requires the services of a global travel assistance provider to assist UQ travellers and supervisors in the preparation and conduct of travel.
OBJECTIVES/SCOPE
The intent of this Invitation to Offer (ITO) is to identify a preferred partner/s to provide global travel assistance services to the University of Queensland.
The objectives of the required global travel assistance services are to:
Enable the University, and its travellers, to make educated decisions regarding travel and the associated risks and identify necessary precautions.
Enable the University to strengthen its pre-trip approval processes especially for high risk destinations as identified by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).
Enable travellers to minimise their risk whilst travelling by providing them up to date information and advice regarding events and incidents in their locations.
Provide assistance to travellers as necessary in response to situations or incidents as they occur.
Enable the University to locate and account for University travellers at all times, including those booking outside of UQ’s Travel Management Company.
Provide business intelligence and reporting regarding the University travel program.
Enable the University to satisfy its duty of care obligations in regard to personnel travelling on University business.
