The Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women (the department) is committed to improving the quality of life of Queensland women. The department provides funding to non-government organisations to deliver health and wellbeing services that holistically support women with gender-based health issues across their lifespan to enhance their wellbeing and support their social and economic participation and independence.
The department is seeking to procure three new women’s health and wellbeing support services in Logan, Gold Coast and Mount Isa with up to a total of $640,000 per annum (excl. GST) being available for up to five years.
The new services will provide trauma informed counselling and case management support to meet the ongoing needs of women and young women who require assistance to achieve better health and wellbeing. Services will be prioritised to women who are recovering from experiences of domestic and family violence and other forms of gender-based violence. Services may also deliver targeted community education and implement early intervention strategies to those at higher risk of experiencing gender based health and wellbeing issues.
The new services will build on and not duplicate existing service responses already provided by specialist sexual violence services and domestic and family violence services through the delivery of longer term, recovery focused counselling and related activities.
Quotes are invited by the State of Queensland, acting through the department for the delivery of Women’s Health and Wellbeing Services in the Service Outlet Locations.
