This Request for Quote (RFQ) is to procure a new Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Family Wellbeing Capability Building and Support Service to provide support to seven Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Family Wellbeing Services in Far North Queensland.
The vision for the Family Wellbeing Services is that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and communities will have access to a coordinated mix of services to address multiple levels of need and build family and community capacity to safely care for and protect their children. These services are delivered by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, with staff located in the local communities.
The Family Wellbeing Services across the Cape and Torres face significant challenges recruiting and retaining appropriately skilled and experienced staff to deliver quality services to vulnerable families. Through this RFQ, the department is seeking contemporary and innovative service delivery to provide capability building and support activities to these seven services.
The objectives of this procurement activity align with the Service System Support and Development Investment Specifications investment logic, including the following outcomes:
• Improved capability to deliver services that deliver client results
• Workforce better skilled to effectively respond to client needs
• More effective and efficient service system
It is a mandatory requirement that organisations making an offer for the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Family Wellbeing Capability Building and Support Service are Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisations, or can demonstrate a genuine and equal partnership with an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander organisation.
Accordingly, suppliers will be required to provide evidence supporting their eligibility in their response to this request for quote.
Suppliers are invited to submit a quote for a capability building and support service covering the catchments of both Cape York and Torres Strait.
