Safe House Program Co-Design

The purpose of this procurement activity is to engage a suitably qualified Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander consultant (the Supplier) to consider refinements to the Safe House model for each of the communities in scope.

The Supplier will be required to investigate each communities’ interest in transitioning the Safe House service to community control and their readiness to do so. The Customer will provide detailed community mapping and identify key stakeholders for each of these communities. It is expected that the Supplier would visit each community to conduct a workshop and meet with key community stakeholders.
The Supplier will collate and articulate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples’ aspirations for the Safe House model and advise the Customer whether each community has an organisation with the expertise, or the potential to acquire the expertise, to manage and deliver the Safe House service. This should include the Supplier’s assessment of possible timelines for organisations to develop the capacity to manage the service.
