The Department of Environment and Science requires a suitably qualified contractor to upgrade a Class 3 walking track along the existing Mt Ngungun Walking Track at Glass House Mountains National Park, Queensland.
The supplier will be required to construct a Class 3 Track (in accordance with AS 2156 Part 1) on (primarily) an existing track alignment. The work will be divided into Component A and Component B where a supplier may choose to tender for one or both components. For both Components, the Contractor is required to develop a project-specific Environmental Management Plan and Work Health and Safety Plan.
COMPONENT A
The Supplier will be required to:
• Undertake construction works on sections 1 to 7 in accordance with the approved detail plans and QPWS details and specifications. Type of works are to include but are not limited to the construction of:
• Rehabilitated Trail Head including revegetation
• Reprofiling and compacting soil walking track sections
• Stone steps and manufactured steps where required
• Rock armoured walking track sections where required
• Flagstone paving walking track sections where required
• Compacted soil, armoured rock and stone drainage solutions where required
• Fencing sections of track

COMPONENT B
The Supplier will be required to:
• Undertake construction works on sections 8 to 18 in accordance with the approved detail plans and QPWS details and specifications. Type of works are to include but are not limited to the construction of:
• Compacted soil walking track sections (including adjacent bank stone armouring where required)
• Stone steps and manufactured steps where required
• Rock armoured walking track sections where required
• Flagstone paving walking track sections where required
• Compacted soil, armoured rock and stone drainage solutions where required
• On ground stone viewing platforms where indicated.
• Fencing sections of track
