As a result of the slope degradation over time, a section of cutting on Hervey Range is producing minor rock falls and loss of water diversionary structures due to water flow and natural destabilisation of the rock cutting through weathering. The Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) is seeking the services of a highly experienced and competent contractor to perform slope remediation works. The scope of the works include but is not limited to descaling of the existing rock cutting, removal of scree and soil deposits, construction of diversion drainage, supply and installation of cable reinforced rock mesh, fibrecrete shotcreting and the installation of test bores for proposed future works and investigation purposes.
