A solution that provides an initial usable capacity of at least 5PB of cost-effective, readily expandable, DMF 6 and DMF 7 compatible, back-end storage infrastructure to replace one copy of data currently stored on tape media with one copy residing entirely on disk media to eliminate the multi-minute latency associated with the retrieval of off-line data from tape through Hewlett Packard’s Data Management Framework (DMF).
