Lake Eyre Basin Traditional Owner's Forum
With the assistance of the Pristine Rivers team of the Department of Environment and Science (DES), convene a Lake Eyre Basin (LEB) Traditional Owner Forum in Brisbane, Queensland, with the purpose of discussing the protection of waterways, both above and underground, including protective measures for floodplains and waterholes, and to record a position statement for the purpose of making a properly made submission to the Queensland Government, identifying what improvements, if any (to allow for economic opportunities to be realised while environmental and cultural values are preserved for future generations) should be made.
The Successful Supplier will organise and facilitate, in collaboration with the DES Pristine Rivers Team, a forum taking place over two (2) days of Lake Eyre Basin Traditional Owners in Brisbane, Queensland. The attendees will consist of a minimum of 15 Traditional Owner groups (as identified by DES) from the Lake Eyre Basin. The venue is to be determined.
