Construction and Delivery of one (1) only x 5.0m high speed, aluminium turtle research vessel.
The vessel is required by the Department of Environment and Science (DES) to undertake turtle research. The vessel will be surveyed as 2C – Restricted offshore operations (within 5 nautical miles from the baseline of Queensland). It shall be designed to carry a maximum of four (4) persons in most sea and wind conditions relevant in Queensland coastal waters. As a minimum, the vessel must be designed to operate in significant wave heights of 1.5 metres at all angles of encounter, at a speed of up to 20 knots.
All construction and installation of components shall meet the requirements of Australian Maritime Safety Authority and the National Standards Commercial Vessels and/or Australian Standards
