Manufacture, Supply and Delivery of Chemical Tramp Ant Bait

The Customer requires, in bulk quantities, specially formulated tramp ant bait to use within the NRIFAEP and the NEAEP in Queensland.

Under the current approved plan, the NRIFAEP in south east Queensland anticipates a requirement to deliver, Free Into Store (FIS), IGR bait treatment over a varied area each year in accordance with the ten year plan. However, the Program has an anticipated 360,000 hectares requiring bait treatment for the 2018-19 and following few years. This equates to approximately 896 Tonnes of bait per treatment year with the possibility of increasing up to 1250 Tonnes per treatment year. The anticipated volume of bait required is dependent on the weather and funding for any additional future incursions.

The NEAEP has a sporadic need for bait products with demand to be determined by new detections and funding extensions, however, it is anticipated that the total bait requirement over the contract period would be up to 5 to 10 Tonnes of bait.

The scope of this offer includes an additional buffer to allow for the potential need for IGR products, should new detections of invasive ants be confirmed and require treatment within Australia.

The Principal has issued this Invitation to Offer with the objective to secure the ongoing availability of the required treatment and eradication products used within the eradication programs and to achieve value for money over the life of the contract.

It is the Principal's intent to establish a Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) with an initial term of twenty-four (24) months, with optional extension terms of 2 x 12 months.
