A fauna / flora / RE / TEC survey and supporting report and data is required to minimise the impact of proposed activities on listed species and vegetation. As a minimum the survey and report shall comply with the requirements of the Flora Survey Guidelines – Protected Plants document and any additional requirements under the EPBC Act 1999. A 100m buffer around the potentially impacted area is not required.
The objectives of this survey are to:
1) Identify, and map the extent of, any listed plants (EVNT plants under the Nature Conservation Act 1992 and the Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Act 1999) that may be present;
2) Identify, and map the extent of, the presence of any of the EPBC listed fauna, from the below table, in the potential area of impact;
3) Identify and map the extent of REs and TECs within the potential area of impact;
4) The survey report will outline any permit requirements (under the EPBC, NCA and VMA “acts”) and potential measures to minimise impacts on identified ecosystems and species.
