Provision of HPC Equipment
The Department of Environment and Science (DES) seeks a quote from suitably qualified suppliers to:-
Replace an existing high performance computing cluster and add to a second cluster that is based on the Microsoft Windows Server operating system and the Microsoft HPC Pack. Currently that is Microsoft Windows Server 2012R2 and Microsoft HPC Pack 2016.
To procure servers to support existing and future scientific software applications and that provide the best price performance balance based on model throughput.
To procure solutions that are compatible with and supported for use with existing scientific applications currently used by or developed by DES. Examples include DES’s IQQM, Modflow, Source and APSIM models.

As part of this request, to complete the benchmarking component, DES provide a batch file for the benchmark performance testing upon confirmation of vendor email address for this test and the signing of the Confidentiality Deed. Could you please send the signed Confidentiality Deed and confirmation of the vendor email address for the file to ProcurementDES@des.qld.gov.au Attention: Shawn Knox, as soon as possible.
Please note: if additional time to complete the benchmarking is required, please advise prior to the Cut-off for Clarifications at 5:00 pm AEST on Friday 12th April 2019.
