Weed Eradication Services
The National Tropical Weeds Eradication Program targets a range of species in north Queensland. This contract will require a team of four (4) field workers who are skilled in weed surveillance to eradication standards, GPS usage and rainforest navigation. The team will be led by a DAF supervisor, but will need to be supplied with all relevant PPE and equipment to complete the task (eg bladed tools, backpack, GPS) by the Supplier.
The team will be searching for two eradication target species: Miconia nervosa and Miconia calvescens. The work location will mostly be in the Whyanbeel Valley north of Mossman, north Queensland. The team will need to be available for 11 weeks spread over July – November 2019, according to a schedule agreed to by DAF. The team will commence daily at 7.15am at the Mossman Gorge QPWS Office.
