Provision of Localised Climate Information Package
The Department of Environment and Science (DES) seeks scientifically valid public communication services to:
support implementation of the People and Knowledge pathway in the Queensland Climate Adaptation Strategy;
contribution to Reduce Queensland's contribution to climate change - A 30% reduction in 2005 net greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 by supporting community understanding of and commitment to action on climate change; and
contribute to the Pathway to a clean growth economy - Queensland Climate Transition Strategy - Pathway 3: Work with Queensland's regional communities to transition - Response 5: Support Queensland communities to take action.
Project purpose: To provide appropriately localised, non-persuasive climate trend data, packaged for use by peak time weather presenters on Queensland TV channels to improve public literacy on key climate change related weather indices.
