UQBR Vivarium Management System

The University of Queensland (UQ) is seeking offers for the supply of a software platform described as a Vivarium Management System (VMS) including services to upgrade and combine functions from UQ Biological Resources’ (UQBR) current systems: Genotrack, Webdb, Frogdb and various manual animal tracking processes. To achieve existing and future needs, the upgraded system will support mobile devices and barcodes as well as having a web browser based interface and be workflow driven.

Specific modules required include: breeding/colony management, traceability of animals, animal ordering and despatch, census taking, task management, veterinary records, monthly agistment processing, management and annual reporting. If not included, an ability to interface to the following functional systems is also required: Animal Ethics Unit (AEU) protocol management, UQ Training and Finance systems. A desirable additional feature is an ability to interface with products from industry equipment manufacturers such as cage monitoring systems like Tecniplast DVCs. Requirements are further detailed in Schedule 1 of this ITO.
