DES19102 for the purchase of two 3.7m Seajay nomad vessels

The Department of Environment and Science (DES) requires the purchase of two (2) 3.7m vessels which are small enough to be used on the roof top of a vehicle and yet large enough to accommodate three (3) crew. Currently Northern Wildlife Operations only has one (1) 3m roof top vessel which can only accommodate two (2) crew which is not ideal for night time crocodile operations. It has been proposed to procure two (2) Seajay Nomad HS 3.7m V-nose vessels, one for Innisfail and one for Cairns. Specifically the vessel will have high sides, 20hp 4 stroke motor with electric start and tilt, built to non-survey conditions as per NSCV part G. A bow casting platform with hatch is also required as well as 12 volt battery with stern mounted Anderson plug to run spot lights and Minn Kota, and the external hull painted matte black. Two (2) registered galvanised steel trailers are also required as will be delivery to Cairns
