Cleaning Contract for Tor Street Toowoomba

The Department of Agriculture and Fisheries (DAF) requires the services of a suitably experienced cleaning contractor for the provision of cleaning at its facility located at 203 Tor Street, Toowoomba.

The facility comprises 12 hectares and a number of administration buildings, laboratories, glasshouses, workshops, sheds and a conference centre which are occupied by government employees during daylight operating hours.

In planning for the delivery of an efficient and effective cleaning service, the offeror should consider the complexities of the site, including the locations and distance of travel between buildings, and the number of buildings on site that have daily cleaning requirements.

Also, the various functions/operations/services undertaken within this facility is a key factor in understanding the cleaning requirements. Duties undertaken at the site incorporate general office/administrative type functions, as well as scientific/research type activities carried out in various specialised workrooms and laboratories across the site. There are approximately 200 personnel operating from this facility.

There are fifteen (15) buildings that are to be cleaned under the provisions of this cleaning contract (circled). Two of these buildings have ground and 1st floor office space (A & B Blocks), with the remaining facilities being ground level.

Buildings 4 and 8 are owned and operated by another government agency and are not included in this contract.

The Successful Offeror will be responsible for supplying adequate personnel to ensure the cleaning of the facility is conducted within the nominated time frame and to the satisfaction of the DAF Contract Manager.

The Successful Offeror is required to provide, at the Successful Offeror’s own expense, labour, plant, equipment, agents, chemicals, consumables and other materials necessary for the execution and performance of the services with stock being held on site.

Any stains, marks or deterioration that cannot be rectified by cleaning staff is to be reported to the DAF Contract Manager.

Equipment such as computers, printers, and photocopiers are to be dusted but not be moved or disturbed during cleaning operations.
