The department is seeking to procure the delivery of contemporary, trauma informed Sexual Abuse Counselling Services for children and young people who have experienced sexual abuse. These new services will be established in two high need locations, Rockhampton and Gladstone, where there is currently no dedicated service response.
These services will provide counselling to children and young people age under 18 years. While many children and young people who have experience sexual violence or child sexual abuse may have come into contact with the child protection system, these services will also be available to children and young people who have not had contact with the child protection system. Specialist support for children and young people outside of statutory systems has been identified as a key service gap.
The department is also seeking the delivery of contemporary and effective early intervention service responses for children and young people exhibiting sexually reactive behaviour (SRB), problem sexual behaviours (PSB) or sexually abusive behaviours (SAB) to change behaviour, reduce harm and prevent offending in Rockhampton and Gladstone.
Request for Clarification Cut Off: 2PM AEST Wednesday 10 April 2019.
