Socio-economic analysis of possible changes to the Marine Parks (Great Sandy) Zoning Plan 2017
An independent analysis of, and advice on, the socio-economic impacts of possible changes to the zoning of the Great Sandy Marine Park is required. This will inform development of a draft revised zoning plan for the marine park, to be released for public consultation later in 2019. Depending on the nature and extent of the changes, impacts on stakeholders could be significant. Independent expert advice is required to counter any public perception that the department has a preconceived view of what any changes to the zoning plan should be.
The current review of the zoning plan by the department is a statutory requirement under the StatutoryInstrumentsAct1992.
The complete contract requirements are specified in Schedule 1 of the attached ‘Contract Details’.
