The Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service is seeking proposals for the Upgrade of the Helipad at Nambour general Hospital
The purpose of this project is to carryout structural strengthening works to the roof top helipad on the Nambour Hospital Multistorey Carpark.
The strengthening works are required to facilitate future operations of aircraft with a service loading of 11 tonnes. The current operating capacity of the helipad is limited to 8 tonnes.
The structural upgrade shall be accomplished by the application of a Fibre Reinforcing Polymer (FRP) Strengthening Methodology. The successful contractor shall demonstrate experience in the application of this methodology for structural strengthening works.

Note: SCHHS requires the full helipad surface to be cleaned down and be free of paint and other surface stains, before any new surface work is commenced. Following install the Helipad is to be repainted with the required slip index surface protection. The cost of the Clean down and repaint is to be added to the pricing schedule as a line item.
