eHealth Queensland is looking to engage a supplier for the provision of developing and testing a digital solution to assist users to better understand how they may gain access to data owned by Queensland Health.
Better use of health data for secondary purposes – including service evaluation, management, monitoring, reporting, analytics, quality assurance and improvement activities, research and innovation – is recognised as critical to the transformation and improvement of health services.
During the Proof of Concept (PoC) we are seeking the development of a Minimal Viable Product (MVP) which can be tested for its ability to meet the project's capability requirements.
Summary of Requirements
The solution will guide new and more experienced users along the appropriate path within Queensland Health to apply for data. The solution will provide a checklist and/or questions designed to provide the data requestor with tailored information and material to help them progress and complete their application. It will provide information about the data request that will assist Queensland Health staff, such as data custodians, ethics and governance staff to process that request. It will improve standardisation of processes, improve data literacy regarding data access and governance through increased references to the supporting Queensland Health policies and regulations. It will be the starting point that explains the data requesting process and the single source of truth for Queensland Health staff to maintain a list of Data Custodians and data area accountabilities.
