Project: The Strength & Conditioning Lab, Clinical Sciences 1 (G02), Gold Coast campus
You are invited to submit a Proposal for Construction Management Services associated with the proposed Strength & Conditioning Lab in the Clinical Sciences 1 (G02) building at the Gold Coast campus of Griffith University (GU).
The submission of Proposals close at 1:00 p.m. on Monday 28 October 2019 via the QTenders portal for this project in the format requested in the Conditions for Submission. Proposals mailed, hand delivered to the Principal’s place of business, electronic means other than the associated project QTenders link and late submissions, will not be accepted. QTenders reference 2558160216BCONSCAP.
Please note that Proposals will not be opened publicly.
Any queries relating to the above Proposal documents should be directed to the Project Manager, Kade Kendall, Planning Design & Construction via the QTenders link.
You are required to check that all the Proposal documents received match those listed on the accompanying Document Transmittal. Confirmation that you have received all the documents listed is to be provided as part of your Proposal by signing a copy of the Transmittal where provided and returning it to the Principal.
If you are unable to submit a Proposal for whatever reason, you are requested to notify the person nominated above in writing stating the reason prior to the tender close date. This will assist me in preparing the tender evaluation and will maintain your standing with the University as a potential tenderer for future works.
invitees are encouraged to visit the Gold Coast campus prior to submitting a Proposal to familiarise themselves with existing site conditions, access and the like. No additional fees or costs will be approved by the Superintendent or paid by the Principal due to any failure on your part to appreciate the complexity of the project as a result of not undertaking a site visit.
Due to the time constraints which apply to this project, the design consultants appointed by Griffith University are currently proceeding with documenting the project and should have sufficient documentation to call Trade Package tenders for early works such as demolition by the time a Construction Manager is appointed. The appointed Construction Manager will be required to urgently review completed documentation before any Subcontract tenders are called to ensure that it is adequate for purpose and to recommend and initiate any amendments deemed necessary.
The successful Construction Manager will be appointed as the Principal Contractor and will negotiate access to the site with the Superintendent and campus representatives. Access is to be maintained to all areas of the campus during construction.
