Water Management Assets

The scope of works includes identification, selection, supply, mobilisation, installation, setup and commissioning of water management infrastructure necessary to manage water at Baal Gammon Mine. This includes water transfer as well as enhanced evaporation. Key assets include:

  • A network of 750 wobblers irrigation sprinklers, installed across the hardstand, workshop, magazine, haul road and surround areas.
  • 12 x 600mm 12m length corrugated HDPE storm drainage pipes
  • 2 x 45 kW submersible pumps for the open cut pit
  • 1 x 45 kW and 1 x 30 kW submersible pumps for mine water dam
  • 1 x 145 kVA genset
  • 1 x electrical distribution board and repairs to 300 kVA existing genset (MM)
  • 4 x soft starter panels, electrical cabling and electrical connection for existing Minetek evaporation fans
  • HDPE pipe and fittings of various sizes and types, to enable water transfer across site.
  • Flowmeters as requested.
