The University of Queensland (UQ) is a premier Australian tertiary education institution, headquartered in Brisbane, Queensland. A member of the prestigious “Group of 8”, UQ has established itself as a destination of choice for both domestic and international students pursuing a higher education. The University boasts over 53,000 enrolled students and over 7,500 staff across its three campuses: St Lucia, Herston, and Gatton. Each year, UQ welcomes over 19,000 new students.

 The Student Affairs Division (SAD) is responsible for helping UQ students stay in their studies and succeed. It achieves this goal by providing student assistance and advice across a variety of areas, including disability, learning advisory, international student support, counselling, and accommodation. The Accommodations Division (AD) of SAD provides a variety of services and support mechanisms for students, to ensure that they maintain safe, reliable, and study-supportive residency throughout their studies. To fulfil its functions, the AD partners with a variety of stakeholders, including Colleges, Halls of Residence, Emergency Accommodation Providers, and Private Providers (including landlords, real estate agents, and Purpose-Built Student Accommodation). The AD supports students by providing informative workshops, one-on-one appointments, and through the UQ Rentals Services (UQRS).

The UQ Rentals Service consists of a pay-for-listing online accommodations brokerage platform for properties in the Brisbane Area. The site is supported by UQ staff members, who manage listings, assist users, and inspect properties. The purpose of the UQRS is to connect providers of affordable, quality, off-campus accommodation for University clients, particularly students. Every year, UQ Rentals supports over 3,000 prospective tenants find a place with one of our 500 Providers, 700 properties and 2,000 beds.

UQ is looking to enhance and expand the UQRS, supported by improvements in software support.

For consideration for this tender, please provide answers to the following:

1. Does your solution enable the creation and management of a pay-for-listing accommodations brokerage service for private rental properties?

2. Does your solution provide the hosting of listings on a personalised listings website?

3. Does your solution empower both staff and landlords to manage listings? 

4. Does your solution empower tenants (students) to find and apply to listings that match their needs

5.  Does your support the provision of staff-led inspections through scheduling functions and on-site reports and listings generation? 

6. Can you provide your solution under a single license? 

7. Can you demonstrate 5 years’ experience providing software support for these solutions?
