Engaging a Safety Auditor for Chinchilla Bore Drilling

The purpose of this project is to engage a suitably qualified and experienced Work Place Health and Safety auditor to review safety documentation, undertake a site audits and make recommendations on how to improve safety measures for two bore drilling projects (including bore completion and wireline operations)near Chinchilla, Queensland.

Each project will be undertaken by a lead contaminated land contractor who has engaged the drilling and associated sub-contractors. The lead contractor is also the Principal Contractor as per Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (WHS). The main aspects of this project involve:

  1. The construction (including extensive coring) of two groundwater monitoring bores to depths of approximately 160m and 130m;
  2. The completion of two groundwater monitoring bores to depths of approximately 160m and 130m;
  3. Undertaking wireline operations using a variety of equipment to collect geo-physical information;

The groundwater monitoring bores will be sunk into potentially gaseous (sub-artesian/self-purging bores) and fractured geological strata. All work will be performed under the Work Health and Safety Act 2011 (WHS).
