The Department of Child Safety, Youth and Women is responsible for administering services in Queensland for young people involved in the youth justice system.
Youth Justice uses innovative evidence-based responses to effectively reduce youth crime and improve community safety by ensuring young people take responsibility for their criminal behaviour while addressing underlying causes of offending. We aim to work together to prevent crime, act early to reconnect young people to a life without crime, and support change to new behaviours and a positive future.
The Queensland State Budget 2018 has allocated funding to have an immediate impact on remand in custody rates. This Request for Quote is for high quality, community-based Bail Support services for young people who are at high risk becoming remanded into custody. These services are to commence on October 2019.
