Domestic and famiily violence training
The Queensland Government is committed to prevent violence, support employees affected by domestic and family violence, and promote safe and respectful workplace cultures.
The Department of Environment and Science and the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries were accredited as White Ribbon Workplaces in May 2019.
As part of maintaining White Ribbon Accreditation, it is a mandatory requirement that all supervisors and managers, who have not already done so, undergo expert training in preventing, recognising, responding to and referring violence against women. It is also required that basic domestic and family violence training is provided across the Departments’ workforce.
