Offers are invited by the State of Queensland (acting through the Department of Education and Training) in relation to ICT Invitation to Offer No. QEDSOA 95677 for the establishment of an ICT Standing Offer Arrangement for the provision of Computer Hardware
This Invitation to Offer is concerned with:
• The purchase of approximately 10,000 to 15,000 Devices for the Computers for Teachers (CFT) Program; and
• The purchase of an unknown quantity of devices underneath the SDE Device Scheme, up to a maximum of 10,000 devices;
From one or more supplier currently contracted under the Education Schedule of the Whole of Government Standing Offer Arrangement ICTSS.13.12.
Since 2006, The Computers for Teachers program has provided up to approximately 42,000 Queensland school and TAFE teachers with a permanent employment fraction of 0.4FTE and above with a laptop computer for their use to improve learning and communication via new technologies.
The ‘School of Distance Education (SDE) Device Scheme’, is a newly incorporated initiative to provide ICT hardware to students in remote areas who are unable to access schooling resources through conventional means. The SDE Device Rollout is an optional scheme allowing parents of SDE students to utilise an approved Department owned laptop - there are approximately 10,000 SDE students in Queensland.
This procurement activity will result in a twelve (12) month Standing Offer Arrangement (SOA) with one or more Contractor/s for the provision of one device in each of the categories specified.
