The Department of Environment and Science require the supply and delivery of a Compact Track Loader (CTL) and range of compatible implements as specified.

Outline of Task requirements

The CTL will be utilised within the Goodliffe, Salvator Rosa and Ka Ka Mundi sections of Carnarvon National Park, undertaking the following tasks:-

• Boundary stock-proof fence maintenance, using the forestry mulching head to remove vegetation re-growth adjacent to fence lines and within fence line corridors.  
• Slashing vegetated fire management vehicle trails where ground disturbance is not desired due to erodible soils or weed incursion.
• Maintenance of mineral earth fire management vehicle trails across deep sands, black soils and sandstone escarpments including running surface profiling, drainage clearing and construction, removal of rills and correction of camber. This will typically involve working with a 4-in-1 bucket and spreader bar combination, levelling the running surface of the trail until reaching a woh-boy or invert. The spreader bar will then be dropped and the bucket used to clear out drains and re-shape woh-boys.
• Heavy vegetation fuel management using the forestry mulching head in Asset Protection Zones as a part of QPWS Fire Management System wildfire mitigation in addition to re-opening dormant fire trails or mulching temporary fire containment lines where disturbance of the soil is not desired.
• Loading, unloading and distributing quarry and landscape materials.
• Incident response including storm and flood clean-up/debris removal and post wildfire vehicle trail rehabilitation.
